This was an increase as compared to the number of listeners in the pre-study, which was 7%. Also, the percentage of the unaided product awareness increased by 47% in the post-study. According to the post-study, more than one-third of the participants in the study had the positive opinion about the aftermarket of the automobile products. Similarly, 22% of the respondents said that they were more willing to consider using garden and lawn products.
In 2016, Edison Research carried out three separate research studies. These studies were conducted to examine the efficiency of podcast advertising regarding the five national brands. However, some brands were lesser known than others.
Also, the advertisers of the known brands were launching new messaging method for the purpose of increasing awareness. Whichever the case, the online survey of the respondents was carried out before the beginning of the podcast advertising campaign. The results also indicated that the audiences of the online survey were very receptive to the brand messages.
