Paul Herdsman & NICE Global: Investing In People

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Paul Herdsman started NICE Global in Montego Bay, Jamica in 2014. Though he himself is based in Florida, starting a business whose goal was to provide outsource service for international businesses in Jamaica seemed like the right move to Paul Herdsman. There was some uncertainty initially about whether or not Montego Bay had the infrastructure and worker base to support a new business of this type there. Thankfully all was in place as it needed to be for NICE Global to succeed and Paul Herdsman’s company is still going.

Led by Paul Herdsman, NICE Global contracts with other international businesses to help them lower their overhead costs by outsourcing certain functions of their business in part or in whole. Services such as technical support, after-hours customer service, customer retention and more. Their main service is call center support, providing 24 hour a day, seven day a week customer support at a low cost. Paul Herdsman focus on employee satisfaction, skills, and professional growth.

Paul Herdsman’s first job out of college involved a boss who spent time working in every department doing every job. Herdsman was told that this was because it is vital that anyone who works at a company- especially the executives- gets to know how things operate. Only then can you have a full understanding of the business, and only with that full understanding can you make the right leadership choices. Herdsman heard this advice and took it to heart, implementing this policy in NICE Global’s training philosophy. See This Page to learn more.

NICE Global believes that a corporate culture that values family and its employees is important for success. Paul Herdsman has a policy that he sees his kids at least twice a day, seeing them off to school in the morning and at bedtime every night. He extends this to include his staff, ensuring the NICE family gets to see their families.
